We’re hungry for another Super Bowl victory, but some folks are just plain hungry. As we cheer our team to victory in the playoffs, let’s also help the needy in Nashville.

The Nashville Green Bay Packers Club and the Nashville Packer Backers-Franklin are teaming up to collect non-perishable food items for Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee during the Packers’ first playoff game on Sunday, January 15.

Please take your donations to the Scoreboard (across from Opryland), 2408 Music Valley Drive,Nashville, OR to J’s Sports Grill (inside Franklin Lanes), 1200 Lakeview Drive, Franklin, and put them in the Second Harvest drop box during the game. We will also have a donation jars available for those who want to donate coins…or large sums of cash!

The most needed donation items include:

canned fruit
canned tuna or chicken
canned vegetables
peanut butter
cereal
pasta
Please note: Second Harvest cannot accept home-canned foods, outdated foods, damaged food items…or brats.

As the economic crisis and high rates of unemployment continue, the need for food assistance remains urgent. In any given week, more than 21,000 people receive emergency food assistance from a food pantry, soup kitchen or shelter served by Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee. As a result of the demand for their services, Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee has increased food distribution by 25 percent over the past two years and they need us to step up.

So, grab some non perishable food items from your pantry on your way to the club on Sunday,January 15 and let’s cheer on our team while cheering up our community. Go Pack!

SUPER BOWL BOUND!!!!!!!!

Well here we go baby. Headed to the SuperBowl. We had a great time down at J’s Sunday with about 150+ fans in attendance. We dance and yelled and hugged and even had a few beers don’t you know there hey. The big day will be here before you know it. We are expecting a huge crowd for the game. Because of this the bar is taking out things from the bar to make room. To help with this huge event they are taking reservations to get a seat. they think they can fit about 200 seats and already have 97 reserved even before I was told about this. There is only one person handleing this, as not to have any confusion. You must call Don McKee on his cell. 615-417-4454. This is the only way to get your name on the list. They will be doing a buffet from 2:30 to 4:30 which will include Hot Dogs, Brats, Chili, chips ect along with free soft drinks all for $10. If you have any questions you can cal or write me. Does not get any better than this. All in against da bears for the chance to go to the SUPERBOWL. We will be rocking at J’s this weekend. Hope to see a great crowd. Come on down if you are in the area. We will have food and beer specials and raffles as always. Get there early to get a good seat. The pregame show from WTMJ will start at noon. Way to go Packers. What looked like a easy win came down to a nailbiter. But we got the win and now set our sites on beating the Falcons. The game is at 7:00 pm on Saturday January 15. Come on down to J’s and help cheer your team to victory. We had a good crowd last week and some new faces. A lot of screaming and dancing. I think I have fixed the newsletter email portion of the site so sign up to recieve updates. If you have already signed up you should have gotten one and recieving another very soon. This will be a good way to keep in touch through out the year. Have a great week and remember as always GO PACK GO!!!!!!!!

Here we go Packer Fans. Playoff time. We had a blast at J’s on Sunday. Even though it was a nationally televised game and it was on local TV we had a crowd of about 83 people. I fully expect a crowd of in excess of 100. Maybe we can hit 160. So get there early for a good seat. The game is a 3:30 central time start. I have some new raffle items for this game and J’s will be having some nice giveaways also. Lets rock the house on the way to the Superbowl and remember as always GO PACK GO!!!!
